Life with George!

Seriously... I cannot believe my little boy! He is getting to big, too fast! Everyday he seems to learn something new, and brings so much joy to our day. While I was thinking about what to get this little stinker for Christmas I thought his letter to Santa would go something like this:

Dear Santa,
This year for Christmas, I really just want access to every cord and outlet in our house. For some reason my mom always tell me NO NO NO. Also if I could get my own six pack of toilet paper to unroll and also a toilet to swish my hands and toilet paper in, then I will eat it. YUM! Another thing that would be great is a garbage of my very own. One that I can feel with all my moms stuff and also take out some yucky stuff and maybe then I will eat it. Oh yea, and have my mom move that thing covering the stairs! I want to head on down. Give me pots and pans, drawers to unload, and more bath toys! Santa... Oh yea and ask my mom if this year I won't have a bed time just like last year!
Thanks,
George

Now really... It doesn't matter what toy I give him, he would prefer all those things!
He is a mover and gets into everything! He is curious about everything, and finds things I can't see, and the vaccum can't pick up.. He is starting to throw tantrums, the arching your back ones..aahhh! Kindof funny though! But more than anything he brings so much joy to our day I can hardly stand it! Sometimes I wonder if I could seriously kiss his cheeks right off. He smiles, he giggles, he kisses, he crawls, he says mama, he says no no no, he is just too BIG! We love our little George, although I am worried about is name sake- CURIOUS GEORGE!
His favorite time of the day!
His best bud Ginger.. He sits and feeds everything I give him to the dog!
Just George doing what he loves best! Toilets, toilet paper, and the garbage by the side of the toilet! (don't worry I wash his hands after these episodes)
And here he is begging for another bath. Every time he heres the shower start he is right there looking in and trying to get over the top!

We LOVE our little guy!

Gingerbread Houses...

On Saturday night we had some of our Kirksville friends over for a little Gingerbread house party! It was fun, and it made Christmas feel like it was finally here!
Here is our little gingerbread house!
Des really out did herself with the amazing design!
Without Lisa we wouldn't have the church!

George loved the night because he got to be the little floor scrounge.. He picked up and ate whatever people dropped... Lots of graham crackers, gumdrops, and gumballs. Lucky we caught most of it! His blue lips show the gumball he had in his mouth... YIKES!

And finally... Our Village! Thanks guys.. I had a blast! (Of course... by this time the husbands are busy watching football!)

Happy Halloween... Late!

Since audreys wedding was Halloween weekend, we got to celebrate again! It was fun being at home to enjoy this Holiday even though it is just halloween! This year George was curious GEORGE for Halloween.. I know, kindof Original! Ha.. But he made a pretty darn cute one if you ask me!
George was not scared one bit of grammys witch he kept going over listening to her and grabbing him some candy out of the dish! But after a few short days I was not ready to go home, so I extended my flight home! INstead of having Jed come pick us up mid week from the airport which would have been six hours we took Kirksvilles little flight from St. Louis to Kirksville.. Now I had heard it was little but just about died when this was what I saw! I was a bit nervous.. But it ended up being great and pretty cool!
The only other people in the plane with us... the captians. Kindof crazy!
George and I!
Thank you captain for the safe arrival...

Audreys Wedding...

We were very grateful we were able to go and celebrate with Audrey and Tye with their wedding. Not only was it a great reason to go home:) but an even better reason to celebrate! We are so excited for both of them!
It was quite a cold day, but I could not get over how beautiful the manti temple looked that day! It was amazing...
I thought these two looked pretty good to!
But these two for sure took the cake! They looked amazing and we are so thrilled for them!

A week with Ali...

We took a few pictures by this cute little barn... George was not wanting to look at the camera, but at least its a try!

the wagon ride

George and Evan were so fun to watch in action... Every morning when they woke up and saw each other they made the biggest grins! George loved having a friend here with him all week!
The beautiful Nauvoo temple... We stayed in Keokuk for a night and it was such a blast! WE had so much fun staying in a hotel and also getting to spend longer time in Nauvoo!
We visited Carthage... Here we are by the window Joseph Fell out of!
We rode on the wagon ride around Nauvoo.. It was a great way to get to see Nauvoo and enjoy the beauty. Even though It was a bit chilly we still had such a blast.
Nauvoo temple during the day...
Crazy girls....
We also got to go to the Brashers hunting ranch! It was way to fun to see all those huge elk, and Jed totally loved it. It was in the most gorgeous surroundings! We loved getting out of Kirksville for a night and going there.
Jed could not get over the size of this bull rob shot!
Here we are in front of the Lodge!
Inside the lodge was amazing, and so homey!

I loved this little amish pumpkin patch I just had to take a picture!
Thanks so much ali and little ev for coming out to see us! We seriously had a blast and feel so blessed to have such great friends. You guys were troopers and helped us see how beautiful Missouri is around us! Thanks again

exotic animal auction...

Jed has been talking about going to check out the exotic animal auctions in macon for awhile now, so we decided that we better give it a try! It was pretty entertaining just seeing all these crazy animals come through and seeing how much people are willing to pay for them! We watched as the camels came through, the zebras, and the other crazy animals that were all there. Jed was entertained by the Zdonks (half zebra half donkey), The Zorse (half Zebra, half horse), etc. George really enjoyed the animals too!

Even though you werent allowed camera s in the auction... I had to snap a few! This funny looking white baby camel went for 23,000.00 dollars! I could not believe it!
Some of the larger camels...
If only I could have snapped a few of the crowd... that was entertaining too!

The exotic animal auction was pretty entertaining... except it gave Jed ideas for future decoration... I don't know about this!

Giggles WIth Dad...

We got out the ball popper that my mom gave us for Christmas last year.. I have been waiting to finally get it out so George could play with it. He thought daddy was sure funny throwing those balls!

George 7 months...

Although George has passed the six month milestone, and is now on to his seven month milestone I wanted to document a few things about him!

Dear George,

At seven months you:
Sit up all by yourself.
You pull yourself up to things.
Everything goes in your mouth... mostly paper.
You army crawl all over the place.
You have the cutest giggle and grin
You have your parents wrapped around those chubby little fingers
You roll all over the place.
You jabber jabber jabber... although we don't know what is being said
You love to jump in your jumperoo
You finally don't gag after you taste everything
You love Big Kid food... no baby food, just the Good stuff!
Everything you do, you like someone watching. You hate being left alone!
You make the cutest little facial expressions.
You still make little dino noises... our little raptor!
You are mommy best buddy during the day... and all night!
You have slept through the night once!
You have no schedule whatsoever!
You are my little cuddle bug.
You still are my nursing boy...
You love to pinch, pull, and grab any thing you can get a hold of!
You are fascinated by faces. you love to grab touch and hold them
You simply make my days great because you are apart of them! You have your daddy and I wrapped around those little fingers of yours. We do not know what life would be like without you apart of it, you are just a joy to have around. Everyday you learn something new and I love watching you learn these new things! You are a good boy.. a determined little baby... and an absolute joy in our home! I feel so blessed to have you! Please be patient with your mom and dad as we are learning for the first time. In just the past week you have crawled off our bed, and shocked yourself. I am realizing what you are capable of and am realizing you are not my little newborn anymore! We love love love you!
Love Mommy

Jamesport Missouri

On Labor Day we took part of the day to go and visit Jamesport Missouri.. It is about an hour away and it was supposedly an Amish Settled community. We thought it would be fun to go and see more of what is surrounding us and also learn more about the Amish. We had a blast being together as a family. Jed did have the guts to ask for a little ride. A very nice Amish boy let him and George hop on! I could not believe how small their ponies are. I was kindof feeling bad for the ponies!

Missouri really is beautiful, and so green, I am starting to understand more why they say Utah is a desert!.. I took a few pictures out the window on our way!
