A Trip to the Ranch!

I could not wait to take George up to the ranch for his very first time! Jed kept laughing and saying I am sure he is going to understand what is going on, but I am sure that he loved it. He got carried around all day in my baby carrier or sling, rode four wheelers, played with all 10 puppies, rode in the paddle boat, and got to spend time with his cousins, aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas! I know that I loved every minute of being up there and am always amazed by the peace and beauty you feel when you are up there.
One of my very favorite traditions since I have been little was to go to the memorial day ranch trip with all our cousins. It was so fun to go up there this year and spend time with everyone we love. We played hard.. Woke up early, played all day, and played games and talked till it was late late! It was fun to take George around because he loves the rumble of the four wheelers and was such a good sport, except for the wee hours of the morning!

Two of the cutest COWBOYS I've ever seen!
A family picture! Ginger would jump right on the back of the four wheeler and come along. She did not want to be left behind. She absolutely loved being at the ranch too! She insisted on going everywhere with us. Even on all the horse rides across the swift rivers. It was cute to watch her jump in the river and end up 50 yards down stream cause she was paddling so hard!
Cute Ava! I loved watching all the other kids play together. Those are some of my fondest memories of the Ranch was spending time with everyone.
A good candid picture of my Dad!
I seriously can't believe he is mine!
Our little family.
Such a cute picture of niece Emma I had to put it up.
This was how George spent his ranch trip.. He was loving getting to go everywhere cuddled right up next to me!

Our date night to...

WENDYS!

I will say it was pretty hilarious... We had a good laugh there and back and were very glad that our friends Luke, Ali, and little Evan, and Jesse and Melanie would join in on the fun! Jed has told me stories about taking the carriage to Wendys and I did not really believe him. Lets just say it made good old fast food pretty SPECIAL! ha ha

SO BLESSED!

We Blessed George on May 3rd at our ward here in Palmyra. It was such a great day, and was a day that you really feel so grateful for such great family and friends! Jed gave George a beautiful and heartfelt blessing with the help of the many priesthood holders in the family. It is a neat thing to look up there and see a big circle of many great men that will be great examples to my little boy! I am grateful he has so many people to love him, be an example to him, and to bless his life.

Well believe it or not, it was such a wonderful day that I had been looking forward to.. that we were having soo much fun that we forgot to take any family pictures and stuff. At 11:00 at night I realized that and felt so terrible! So to try and make up for it we set up our little camera timer and took a few pictures in terrible lighting to just remember this day!

George looks just like his daddy to me! I just think they are both so good lookin'!

Terrible picture to capture such a wonderful day!

I know there is nothing better than being a mom!

George did so good on his special day too.. now that is something to DOCUMENT! ha ha

GEORGES FIRST HORSE RIDE...

Jed decided that George was now big enough to go for his first horse ride! We went up cover bridge canyon for a quick after work horse ride. Jed rode with George in his sling and George did not make a peep the entire time. I tell ya this kid likes constant motion. It was fun to get back on a horse not being pregnant and I got to ride Sugar again!

A little family picture on our horses.

Loving Spring!

We have been loving all the gorgeous spring weather! Last week we went to the park with Ali and Evan, and Bonnie and her three kids. It was a blast. We sat and had a little picnic, and George tried out the swings! Now for a kid who likes to always be in motion it really made his little swing at home feel weak! For the first time ever I heard my little boy....
GIGGLE!
He Loved the swing... Now I am just anxiously awaiting to take him back so I can hear that little GIGGLE again. I have been trying to get him to do it at home now that I know he is capable and no luck, so I am sure we will be going back really soon!

George and his Buddy evan trying out the "DIAPER SWINGS"!
He just kept smiling and smiling if I gave him a pretty GOOD push!

Here is George in his stroller getting ready for a walk. I put a little puppy in there to see what he thought of it. DId not seem to be very phased.

By the way, his shades are a MUST on his walks! Nothing makes him madder than that sun hitting his eyes. It is a HOOT! He just needs to grow a little bigger nose to help keep them on!

Gingers Puppies!

THEN...
this was the day they were born. They were born just over three weeks ago! We knew that Ginger was getting really close, and Jed knew I was so excited. Jed had given me a kiss goodbye and I was exhausted. He called me from the barn and told me we had five little puppies! I thought that was a great number. Two hours later I went out to check on them and there were seven puppies! I thought for sure she was done. She had all of them and was trying to keep them all warm on such a cold and windy day, but they were still cold. SO we picked them up and covered the tile and back floor with sheets and towels and as the day went on she ended up having 10 puppies. I was shocked she had that many. It was pretty crazy!

Resting after having been in labor for like 15 hours!

This was them at two weeks old. Like a day of two after this picture was taken they all opened their eyes.

This is now. they are all very big and very playful and are soo fun to watch! It makes me extremely grateful to just only be nursing one at a time.

DOG PILE
Becky came down to spend the day and Emma carried each puppy one by one to the back lawn from their kennel. She wanted to play with them on the grass. She has named her puppy UTAH and asks all the time how UTAH is doing!
We were sitting on the blankets and I was talking to becky and before we knew two puppies were checking out George! He didn't seem to mind!
Here is Emma proud to be holding UTAH! She just picks up the first puppy she sees and says that it is UTAH!

Daddys lil' buckaroo!

This picture was from march 12th, but still wanted to put it on here for family scrapbook! Jed and I were heading out to go for a short horse ride down the road, but George was just alittle to small so uncle will watched him for a minute so we could go. But we still dressed him up for the occasion! Jed was so excited to have a little boy so he could take him on horse rides with him!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JED!

Jed turned the BIG 28 on April 4th, and we went to dinner with some of his cousins and their spouses, and then headed over to our place for some cake and icecream! We love getting together with them and talking!

Easter...

Georges first Easter! We snapped a few pictures in his new Easter outfit!

Easter was such a great day because we got to celebrate a few things... first of all the Resurrection of our Savior, and the fact that He atoned for all of our sins so that we can live eternally as families. I am grateful for that knowledge.

All of the cute Varner Cousins together.. It is quite an ordeal to try and get all of them looking and smiling at once. I think it would have been more funny getting a picture of the parents on the other side trying to get a smile out of their kids. Pretty funny!

We also got to celebrate with Rossy and laceys family with Annie Maries baby blessing! She is such a beautiful baby, and Ross gave a beautiful blessing!

I thought he looked so cute, but just too old! I am used to him in his little onesies and jammies.. He looked too grown up!
