A rainy day in Palmyra!

RAINBOW!

First Date Night alone! June 2nd

I have had a really hard time leaving George since he has been born! I just never knew how attached you become that I miss him soo bad when I am away from him. I knew that Jed and I needed a night out on our own, and My brother and sister in law were so nice to volunteer to take George for a night. I knew George was in Great hands so I agreed to go!

Jed and I were so excited for our date! We planned to take the horses up the canyon, go for a ride and pack a picnic. Just our luck, we headed up Payson canyon and it started POURING rain. So we ended up Eating our picnic in our truck and waiting out the rain!

It finally slowed down to a sprinkle so we decided to just go ahead and go. We strapped on our rain gear and we see this......

But that did not stop Jed! He got out the horses and we went... IT was so pretty with everything all fresh and rainy, although the trail was muddy.

We ended up having a blast even though the circumstances were not the greatest! It was fun to have a little time by ourselves and enjoy some of the things we used to do. Going home I couldn't wait to see George. I was leading and kicked my horse into gear to get home fast. Jed kept joking ," Man, I can't believe you miss George that much!" It was so nice of Ross and Lacey to take on an extra Baby and give us a night away.

lake powell june 1-5

We went to Lake Powell with Jeds family at the beginning of June. It was such a fun week, with beautiful weather! It was Georges first time to Lake Powell, and it was fun to introduce him to one of my favorite places. As for George he mostly just enjoyed many hands willing to hold him all day long! Grampy was always happy to take George.. Here they are driving the house boat!

George started to get a little heat rash so I figured I needed to get him in the water more.. At first he wasn't so sure, but ended up really liking it in the end!
