exotic animal auction...

Jed has been talking about going to check out the exotic animal auctions in macon for awhile now, so we decided that we better give it a try! It was pretty entertaining just seeing all these crazy animals come through and seeing how much people are willing to pay for them! We watched as the camels came through, the zebras, and the other crazy animals that were all there. Jed was entertained by the Zdonks (half zebra half donkey), The Zorse (half Zebra, half horse), etc. George really enjoyed the animals too!

Even though you werent allowed camera s in the auction... I had to snap a few! This funny looking white baby camel went for 23,000.00 dollars! I could not believe it!
Some of the larger camels...
If only I could have snapped a few of the crowd... that was entertaining too!

The exotic animal auction was pretty entertaining... except it gave Jed ideas for future decoration... I don't know about this!

Giggles WIth Dad...

We got out the ball popper that my mom gave us for Christmas last year.. I have been waiting to finally get it out so George could play with it. He thought daddy was sure funny throwing those balls!

George 7 months...

Although George has passed the six month milestone, and is now on to his seven month milestone I wanted to document a few things about him!

Dear George,

At seven months you:
Sit up all by yourself.
You pull yourself up to things.
Everything goes in your mouth... mostly paper.
You army crawl all over the place.
You have the cutest giggle and grin
You have your parents wrapped around those chubby little fingers
You roll all over the place.
You jabber jabber jabber... although we don't know what is being said
You love to jump in your jumperoo
You finally don't gag after you taste everything
You love Big Kid food... no baby food, just the Good stuff!
Everything you do, you like someone watching. You hate being left alone!
You make the cutest little facial expressions.
You still make little dino noises... our little raptor!
You are mommy best buddy during the day... and all night!
You have slept through the night once!
You have no schedule whatsoever!
You are my little cuddle bug.
You still are my nursing boy...
You love to pinch, pull, and grab any thing you can get a hold of!
You are fascinated by faces. you love to grab touch and hold them
You simply make my days great because you are apart of them! You have your daddy and I wrapped around those little fingers of yours. We do not know what life would be like without you apart of it, you are just a joy to have around. Everyday you learn something new and I love watching you learn these new things! You are a good boy.. a determined little baby... and an absolute joy in our home! I feel so blessed to have you! Please be patient with your mom and dad as we are learning for the first time. In just the past week you have crawled off our bed, and shocked yourself. I am realizing what you are capable of and am realizing you are not my little newborn anymore! We love love love you!
Love Mommy

Jamesport Missouri

On Labor Day we took part of the day to go and visit Jamesport Missouri.. It is about an hour away and it was supposedly an Amish Settled community. We thought it would be fun to go and see more of what is surrounding us and also learn more about the Amish. We had a blast being together as a family. Jed did have the guts to ask for a little ride. A very nice Amish boy let him and George hop on! I could not believe how small their ponies are. I was kindof feeling bad for the ponies!

Missouri really is beautiful, and so green, I am starting to understand more why they say Utah is a desert!.. I took a few pictures out the window on our way!

rodeo... kirksville style

We saw a sign for a rodeo in town for the labor day weekend and we decided we would go check out a rodeo in town. we had such a blast and missed home where we could ride our horses and see them out the back window! George was enthralled and did not make a peep!

Jed and I were watching everyone get one of these... they smelled just like a scone so I headed over to get one for Jed and I to share. I asked... "Can i get a scone? They all looked at me and laughed and said, "We have no idea what a scone is dear!" I said well I have seen everyone carrying around fried bread or something and it smells good, what is that called? They all laughed and although it was not a scone it tasted awfully good!

I love this picture of Jed and George!
