HELP!

For my own journaling purposes Only...

This was what motherhood looked like today at our house! today I lost the little bit of independence that I thought I had.. George has CONQUERED the Crib! You see I knew when that day came that I was TOAST and that is exactly what I was today... We had absolutely no nap at our house today. I was pretty shocked when I put him down today and a few minutes later he opened his door and said, "I OUT mommy!!!" He laughed and giggled and ran away from me, so I thought it must be a fluke. I put him in and 30 seconds later the same thing! You see George Could not have been prouder, his face showed it and he was beaming... He had conquered the crib! So the two of us battled ALL DAY LONG! I was so exhausted... I went from laughing to crying to laughing to crying. He was so onry but was having way to much fun just showing me What he could do now. I finally locked him in his room! AH HA I thought I had really got him that time.. 1o minutes later his spotless room looked like this! He managed to dump 3 book shelfs, throw every single diaper he owned, and wiped vaseline and lotion all over everything!
Now the day before was a rough one as well... I spent all morning cleaning up Diaherrea. yes to much information, but it is real and it is my life. Poor little fella wasn't feeling good, and I felt bad for him. So after I had bleached the tub, and the crib, and the blankets, I was putting in wash downstairs and I came upstairs to a kitchen that had been egged.. Not just 1 egg, but 18 eggs! I could not believe it. He looked at me like, "I don't know what I just did, but it was AWESOME!" Wow, I think someone was feeling more like himself..
We have trouble brewing here at the Oldham house, but at the end of the day of no naps and just about pulling my hair out... I am so Glad that I have this little boy to love on. He keeps me running, he keeps me busy ( honestly I don't know what BORED is) and he has made me learn that I have so much to work on in myself! He truly is such a sweet boy but the two of us have somethings that we are learning together! I am just praying for a little better day tomorrow for both of us!
Whoever said motherhood was easy is crazy... It is HARD, but don't get me wrong it is so rewarding, and I am trying to soak in every single minute because my boy is growing fast! I just need to journal these things and be real with my life right now.
Today was just one of those days you are grateful you get to try again tomorrow!

Thanksgiving Break...

Wow it came and went so fast but we had a blast! We were able to fly home and see family which was a huge highlight of the week! george absolutely loved going home and LOVED his COUSINs!... Literally We have talked about Na-nate since he left missouri Two months ago. He would wake up in the middle of the night to ask if he can play with na-nate. I would have to lay him back down and tell him he had to wait till the morning! Life seemed easier with Na-nate around cause they entertained each other so well. They would hug when they saw each other and hurry off to go play together! George also loved seeing all the animals, riding horses, sledding, playing in the snow, flying in the sky on the airplane, and breaking all of Grannys Christmas decorations! YIKES... There are some pluses and minuses for us visiting, but I am pretty sure we are worth it :) ha I took like no pictures while I was home but here are just a few for viewing pleasure!

Another Highlight to Georges trip was meeting up with Ev and Ali. He still talks about the Choo choo and about EVAN! It is cute to hear him say his name and they both share the same love of thomas the train! We went to Red Robin and rode this little choo choo around the mall. It lasted about 10 minutes and let me tell you it was SOOO worth it for us. George loved it and felt so awesome in it! Thanks Ev and Ali for meeting up with us. We can't wait to see you Soon!

Thanksgiving!

Witchy Witchy Screamy Screamy..

Happy Happy Halloweeny!

This year for Halloween George was my little Cowboy, and Jed well he was just scary! :) HE came up with the idea to be the Pizza Man from Blue streak and so we hurried and threw together something but he ended up just looking a little creepy!
We had a halloween party and it was a blast. We did a pinata, had couples eat donuts on strings, ate soup, did a cake walk, and checked out all those kids darling little costumes!

George could not get enough of the cake walk... he just thought it was great having everyone dance around together! HE was the last one on the dance floor just dancin away!
Here we are cleaning up after the party... George had lost all his clothes by then :)

George at the Trunk or treat in the morning put on by the school!
George makin a move on Saylor...
Running to the car with a bucket full of candy... HEAVEN!
My two cowboys at the ward truck or treat! (Glad Jed didn't sport his scary outfit... Pretty sure he would have gotten kicked out! )
And here I am at the ward trunk or treat carryin around my little (BIG) punkin!

large

I made this little video of george a few months ago... I wanted him to be able to watch a movie of himself instead of barney! Ha I also wanted it for me because I cannot believe how big he is getting! He is just a fun little boy to have around. I can't believe all he has learned and the transitions he has made! It is a little long, but you can watch it if your interested!J

Curious George has earned his name...

From the day we said we were naming him George people loved making the curious George comments... "You realize he will be curious George right?" Well I laughed and never thought it had much to do with the name, but now I wonder? George is full of energy, and we love him around here. Honestly I would not trade him for the world. I have learned a few things though from the stage we are in now! His curiosity has been taken to all new levels...

Here is what I have learned..

1. Silence is DEADLY
2. Don't shower while he is awake.
3. Don't leave him alone to entertain himself...
4. Nothing is childproof..
5. Nothing cannot be climbed, eaten, digested etc.
6. He is worth every minute!
7. Lock all your doors... all the time!
8. Check your vents for hidden treasures (jewelry, earrings, makeups, and some cars)...
9. Count your blessings daily that he is yours and yours forever!
10. LAUGH every single time, because he is only this small for a while!
11. hug, kiss, and love on him every chance you get!
12. PATIENCE
13. Never take a minute for granted.
14. Rock him and read him stories...
15. Time outs are seeming to be effective
16. Cars are not a quiet toy.. they crash, make loud noises etc.
17. Cherish a full nights rest!
18. Cuddle him in your bed...
19. Thomas the train, Barney can be a lifesaver!
20. Parks are heaven sent.. no mess to clean up after!
21. Always have a dog... George loves his Ginger to death!
22. Pray with them.
23. laugh with them.
24. don't leave dog food at Georges level... he may eat the whole bag.
25. Don't put anything on or near your changing table... it will get eaten.
26. Give them a bath before bed!
27. Write down all these funny memories so you never forget them.
28. If you can't distract him just go sit in the car... you as the passenger him as the driver with no keys! (entertainment for at least an hour)
29. Cherish every minute you have
30. Look at all the fingerprints on the wall daily (and door knobs, and windows, mirrors) and be glad there is Windex
31. Really think twice about going to the bathroom... a lot of damage can be done in just a quick minute!
32. Enjoy each new word and new skill they learn.
33. Make animal noises all the time...
34. Make sure there are no pens laying around... he likes coloring the most on what is not paper!
35. watch him closely when using crayons.. it just may get eaten!
36. horsie rides around the living room again and again beat lagoon..
37. Dishwashers are a great stepping stool to counter tops.
38. TORNADOS are not just created by bad weather... They happen right in this house daily!
3. Love them like crazy, cause they grow so dang fast!

These are just some simple things that had to be learned the hard way around our house...
Here is some proof:
( i decided this week to take pictures to better document some FUNNY memories)

Who seriously doesn't love desitin... some on their bums, some in their mouths!

He loves climbing up the toilet and onto the counter so he can get into all the good stuff. Here he realized he had been caught! He enjoys throwing whatever he finds on the bathroom floor to see if it breaks... Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't!

Flour anyone?
Clearly I have been missing out..

Busted! (I wonder who the ring leader was on this one)
Maybe look at their clothes and you might get a better idea.

And this is just cute... we got him a toilet! He mostly like it for a seat while watching Thomas!

who really thought that halloween candy topiaries were a good idea...

Horsie rides.. he prefers getting bucked off!

Look at this kid... Never would he do those things righT?
With all of this said....
George is such a joy! I absolutely love being this boys mother! I am so glad I got such a little vibrant, and sweet spirit in my home. He is a crack up. I see a lot of his daddy and myself in him. He is determined. He loves to have a good time. His little personality will go along way as long as I keep it headed in the right direction! I complain and share his funny stories mostly because I sometimes can't believe the imagination of a young little boy... But I also can't begin to explain the love I feel for this kid ALL DAY LONG! He is everything I have ever dreamt of having.... Now I just need to be the mother he deserves!
Bring on another little BOY! ( but please can you make this one a tattle tale so he can follow behind George and let his mom in on the secrets!)

ITS A...

BOY!!!
George is going to have a little buddy! We are thrilled. It was so reassuring to see that little baby in there, listening to the heart beat, and looking at all those little features. The baby was not doing flips in there and did not want to move, so we didn't get any great pictures. The little guy never wanted to show me his face it was faced toward my spine the entire time, but everything looked to be doing good. I love this appointment because up until this point you never know what is happening in there. Babies really are miracles! and I feel blessed to be having another little boy! She said hes got big feet... just like his older brother! George came along and was watching that screen intently. He will be a great big brother and I am so glad he will always have a little buddy!

It's a....

BABY! So I realized just recently that I have really been neglecting my blog, and that I had failed to mention to the blog world what has been consuming my life for the last 4 1/2 months and that is that we are having baby number 2! We are thrilled! I find out on Friday what it is and can't believe I am really half way there! I know this is old news for many of you but for those who may not know... anyways about this pregnancy... I feel blessed to have not felt so awful this time around. Which truly is a blessing because I don't know how I would do it will little George. I am huge just like last time, and no it is not twins that is just the way I grow them :) This pregnancy seems to be flying by due to the fact that I chase this little rascal around all day long...

Speaking of this little rascal... Can you believe how big he is?
He seriously is the cutest little guy sometimes I can't stand it. Although I must say he has the whole tantrum thing figured out and probably could use an anger management class or two he is at such a fun age I wish I could freeze time. He is my cuddle bug, My escape artist, My binky lover, my animal sound maker, my little chatter box, my choo choo lover, cookie stealer, kiss giver, horse lover, ginger lover, book reader, song singer, you tube addict (thanks to daddy for babysitting him one day and watching motorcylces and horses over and over again rrr..) sneaky busy little bee, tantrum throwing, blonde haired blue eyed, motorcycle obsessed, climbing little monkey, mommy and daddy lover, tease, and of course my best little friend! He gives me little time to lay around and feel sick and although its difficult at times I am so grateful for him in my life.

ps any gender predictions? i keep going back and forth one day its a girl and the next it is totally a boy! I will try and post more later!
