SURPRISE!!!

I had a surprise Visitor come over the weekend! It was so much fun to have John show up and get to hang out with him. Since he got home from his mission he has been busy with a crazy semester at school and has little time for play. He sucessfully finished 31 credits at BYU and did awesome in all his classes. So it was time to CELEBRATE! We had some great times laughing, driving, reminiscing, and telling stories. Since John got home I haven't felt like I have gotten enough time with him. He has always been my Best Friend it was just fun to sit face to face and catch up!
On friday morning I pulled in my garage at 9:30 right after exercise group and John came and pounded on my window. Scared me to death... But such a HUGE surprise!

We headed to Nauvoo that night. Jed had scout camp this weekend so we just headed up there so we could get as much as we could done!
We went to Carthage!
Checked out the millions of turtles piled on logs up the Mississippi River..
George got to spend some good time with Uncle John... (and loved HIM)
Johny got to know George better...
We rekindled our brother/sister relationship...
Enjoyed beautiful Nauvoo, the Beautiful flowers...

Went on a Nauvoo carriage ride...
Went Swimming...
George loved it....
Loved those pretty tulips!

It went to fast... He left on Monday! But seriously I had such a blast. It was just like the old times... Staying up late, talking, telling stories, laughing, and soaking up the fun! I was glad George loved John just as much as I do. He chased John to the end of the driveway bawling as he pulled off down the road... now that means George really likes you:)
We love you!

Nauvoo...

This weekend we headed down to Nauvoo for our ward temple trip. Our friends the Orgills invited us to come down and stay with them in a hotel Friday night and wake up and go to the temple in the morning. It was off season and so we got a great deal at a place over looking the beautiful Nauvoo temple. It was beautiful! Thanks for doing that and for inviting us to come along!

we had a great time:
attending the gorgeous Nauvoo temple...
thanks to the Young women and their leaders for Watching George and making it possible!
Spending time with the Orgills..
Soaking up the beauty in Nauvoo...
Letting George play with Brenton..
Staying up and talking...
and just being together as a family!
We took George over to the water where the pioneers crossed the Mississippi, Of course he wanted to jump right in!
George and Brenton were two peas in a pod just running around everywhere together!
In front of the temple at night

Happy Easter, and Happy Birthday!

Super DUPER long Post!

Happy Easter! This year was a nice and relaxing Easter. We started the day of with Conference and homeade wheat pancakes and yummy breakfast with friends. It was fun having everyone over. I love conference weekends because not only am I inspired to do better, but I feel rejuvenated spiritually and physically! This was Georges 2nd Easter (CRAZY..)! He quickly found out he loved eggs once he got one opened. I had fun snapping a few pictures of him this Easter for his Scrapbook. We love and miss our families at these times when we are used to getting together with everyone but we had a nice Easter together as our small little family! We are grateful for the Savior and his sacrifices that he made on behalf of the us and the world..
He was way too fascinated by the eggs.. too bad these ones you don't eat :(

His Easter Basket... Note to the Easter bunny: Don't buy crayons from the dollar store or your little boy may be very disappointed that they don't even work!
Mini easter egg hunt in the backyard... Took him quite a while cause he wanted to stop and see what was in each one!

And the other good news was that
Granny and "PAPA" as george says..
CAME TO VISIT US!
It was short but it was sweet! Unfortunately we
did not get a lot of pictures with them here, but I snagged this right
before they left on Tuesday morning.
We drove the beautiful Missouri country, went out to eat, played a couple games, Went to Nauvoo, and just enjoyed every minute they were hear!
