After an adventurous last few weeks we finally got on the road. Unfortunately George and I both catch the flu in the midst of all the goodbyes. I spent all evening throwing up and George likewise. Never had I ever seen my little one so sick and it broke my heart. He was throwing up over and over again, and after talking with the nurses on the phone we decided it was time to take him to the emergency room. I hesitated for new insurance purposes but decided oh well and headed anyways. By the time we got to the hospital George was totally lethargic and could not even stay awake. After an IV, some flu medicine he was perkin right back up. We headed back to bed at about 3 am, meanwhile we still both had the bug. Sunday we spent recovering until about 2, and headed up to my parents to have our last Sunday dinner with my family, and Ali and Evan were nice enough to come too! Goodbyes were by no means easy, but it did help that everyone was feeling crumby! Ali headed home with the flu.. poor thing, and we headed off with the flu.
